McCord’s box turtle is one of the most easily kept terrestrial turtles, and it has been popular in the pet trade long before it was ever recognized as a separate species. Once they are settled into their enclosure, these turtles are easy to care for and should be fed a variety of live prey such as crickets, earthworms and snails.
